The Scoop On Yellow Concealer
Kim Kardashian and her yellow concealer? Remember that hoo-ha? What was this yellow-tone, why was it even yellow and what did it do? Well I’ve found the answer in three yellow lemon-like products that help brighten the face and make highlighting simple yet subtle.
Click click sweep sweep, my favourite method of applying concealer and this potent brightening pen does it’s job by brightening up areas and highlighting while it’s at it. I’ve found you can really build this guy up after blending in each layer if you fancy something more powerful.
A creamy pot consistency that works best blended in with the warmths of finger tips as the formulation is quite solid but works with sallow tones around the face to brighten and enhance.
To set all the yellow-toned concealer in place comes a yellow powder, a cult favourite of Mario Dedivanovic. As it’s made for photographs and such the consistency is uber matte so a light fluffy brush works best with this one and light layers to avoid caking up but once on the skin adds a beautiful uplifting sheen.
How to use yellow concealer: Packed on with a flat brush or blended in with a sponge, just under the eye bags down to the sides of the nose and out towards the end of your brow (demonstrated in this video) helps pinch the nose making it appear thinner and brighten up the face. By manipulating shadows this ends up making the centre of the face appear closer to you, making cheekbones appear more defined. One uber simple step to a more radiant complexion without piling on the highlighter. It’s all about yellow and I like it…
