                  |MUA Haul|

Last week I did a little shopping.. okay last week I did A LOT of shopping but this is a little of it. I bought some bits from Revlon and MAC as well and filmed a haul which will be at the bottom of this post if you’re in a watching mood. It’s been so long since I bought anything from MUA, why? Superdrug! People in the ‘budget beauty world’ go crazy for Superdrug so I’m sorry but I prefer Boots. I have both reward cards but prefer the advantage card, I get points online and on just so much more stuff than I can with Superdrugs. Yes there are benefits (you cant part pay which you can’t do at Boots) but it’s not just the card I prefer the stores, Boots stands are maintained better (where I live) and I generally just like it better, So.. now we’ve cleared that up and the whole ‘why do you never do a Superdrug haul’ thing – which comes up more than you’d think – The one thing I really miss is MUA so whenever I do pop in it’s like a smash and grab at that stand. I went in looking for some of the new launches (matte lipsticks and such) but as usual most of it was sold out so I decided to pick up the bits and pieces I was missing in order to do a full face tutorial. I have a foundation I love – Undress Your Skin – but no concealer, lots of you recommended the corresponding concealer but wtf.. it has glitter in it?!? I get the general idea but why??? I will of course be reviewing these items separately but I thought you may be interested in a little look at what I picked up ahead of that. So I swatched the concealer, thought the glitter was mad and put it down.. or so I thought, turns out I bought it, so I already know I’ll hate it but I’ll try it. I also picked up the Cover & Conceal which I have slightly higher hopes for and the face powder which I have tried and don’t like (too cakey and kind of orange bizarrely) but will still feature in the one brand video so you will see for yourselves then. The blushes from MUA are AMAZING! I picked up another cream after loving the one I already have, I was looking for something deeper for Autumn and decided on Scrummy. I also got 2 powder blushes, Candyfloss and Lolly.. tried and tested.. love.. they’re just a really really good example of a very low cost brand – if you’ve tried something from MUA and hated it I would just suggest dipping your toe a few more times before you write them off entirely, they can be hit and miss but the hits are SO good for the money! Moving on to lips – there is nothing bad to say about any of the lip products from MUA and this gloss is a serious dupe for the Rimmel Apocalypse in case any of you were looking for that. Lastly I needed an eyeliner, there were no basic blacks available so I got a glittery one and I haven’t tried it yet but from swatching I’m impressed!
