FREEING MYSELF OF FOUNDATION…KINDA

Last night at around midnight I decided to do something I should have done long ago and tackle my overflowing makeup stash. Perhaps it’s my need to have everything in its right place, or my hatred of clutter, but I couldn’t stand to even look into the chaos that was hiding in the depths of my makeup table. I’ve always had my fair share of makeup (collector of blue eyeshadows from an early age), but since becoming a beauty blogger the infatuation with trying ALL OF THE PRODUCTS has reached new heights.
I think the most jaw-dropping area of my makeup collection is the foundation drawer. Oh…and the blush drawer…..and the lipstick drawer. But! Today we’re going to be tackling the topic of face bases. I had foundations in there that weren’t even the right shade for me-it was a jungle I’ll tell you! After a good rummage around I managed to extract a few from the drawer because if I don’t use it…why should I keep it?
So many of my friends and family have just one makeup bag. One foundation that they use, one blush, one mascara. That must be a beautiful feeling. At the end of the day beauty products are a huge passion of mine; I love trying new things and of course I write about them on this website! It’s not practical for me to say that I’m going to cut my stash in half, but I’m going to be adopting a much stricter one-in-one-out policy-especially when it comes to foundations and concealers.
If you’d like to see more in-depth reviews of any of the foundations you see above let me know and of course I will update you on my using up progress!
How often do you have a beauty clear out?
Do you live by the one in one out policy?
PS-who thinks there should be a makeup edition of the show Hoarders?
